The velcro strap is a lifesaver since my 3-year-old insists on putting her own shoes on now, and they actually stay put all day at daycare. She's worn them pretty much every day for a month and they still look new.

The classic buckle design is just what I wanted for dressy days, and the flexible sole lets my son run around the playground without me worrying about his footing. Still looks spotless after a month of near-daily wear.

My daughter wore these to a wedding and they held up through hours of running around, so the support is genuinely there. Only gripe is the strap is a bit stiff at first and took a few days to soften up.
